Wadi of the Giants - 28 November (Sylvian)
Surrounded by giant boulders and scattered trees, "Wadi of the Giants" offers a playground for the adventurous one seeking an unconventional trail through the wadi leading to the hanging garden of Jais. Along the wadi you will pass by old settlements, exciting rock formation and lots of boulder hopping.
This is an intermediate trip. It requires good fitness and cardio. The bouldering part is challenging and a good understanding of this nature is required. However, this trip is not technical and no rope skills are involved. If you are sports-active, have good fitness, and want to challenge yourself then this trip is for you.
The number of attendees is limited to a small group to keep a good pace.

• Difficulty level of this wadi is 6 out of 10.
• Distance: Round trip hike approx. 12 km
• Endurance level: Intermediate
• No rope skills or technical gear is required. No water involved.
• A good amount of fitness level is required.
• Hike duration: around 6 hours round trip depending on breaks and group pace.
• Involves: Steep climbing in certain areas, a bit of scrambling, parts with loose rocks and gentle stretches
Strictly NO smoking or alcohol on hikes.

❍ Itinerary:
• Meeting point at 7:30 am at Jebel Jais Entrance just after Wadi Bih roundabout: https://goo.gl/maps/32xTptgQtWr6ZBB97
(Those moving from Dubai have to move no later than 6:00 am)
• Reach start of the hike around 8:15 am.
• Light breakfast before the hike (sandwich).
• 6 Hour round trip hike (depending on group pace).
• Finish hike between 14:30 pm and 15:30 pm.
Important Note: Time Intervals can vary due to external factors.

• 1 breakfast (sandwich), 1 trail-mix pack for the hike(snacks).
• Experienced and certified mountain Guide.

• A Must: Backpack (Recommended with good shoulder and waist straps)
• Hiking boots (recommended with ankle support)
• Hiking poles (if you have knee problems)
• Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses
• Energy bars and snacks
• Minimum 4 litres of water/hydration drinks (recommended using water bladder)
• Basic Aid kit (Advil, band-aid, antiseptic, hand sanitiser, wet wipes, etc)
• Extra shirt, towel, flip-flops (for after the hike)
