Wadi Showka Hike - Wednesday 29 December

This is a fun and exciting hiking experience suitable for most fitness levels.

Learn to navigate and scramble your way through a wadi. The activity is a mixture of canyoning(optional) and hiking so double the fun. Through this activity, you will get to experience one of the hidden gems of UAE.


Leading to the start f the hike, the guest get to experience an offroad drive through the mountain. A SUV or higher car is required to reach this point. Those who have regular sedans can leave their cars at the meeting point and ride with those who have 4x4's (just for the off the road part).
 

Hiking Experience Details:

• Distance: 3km round trip
• Duration: approx 3 hours (depending on group pace)
• Trek involves scrambling short distances, walking on possible wet ground, no deep or dangerous cliffs.
 

*Strictly no smoking during activity. During camp, only in designated areas.

❍ So what is the pan? Here is the itinerary:

• Meeting point at 08:00 am at the meeting point in Showka: https://goo.gl/maps/8XJuNfnHMsu
(Those moving from Dubai have to move no later than 07:00 am)
• We all drive together in a convoy towards meeting point 2 (around 15min away)
• At the entrance of the wadi, rearrange guests with available 4x4/SUVs, then drive through the wadi towards the start of the hike.

• Reach start, conduct briefing followed by the start of the hike around 08:45 am.
• Approx 3 hour hike, finish back at cars around 12:00 pm.

• Suitable for anyone with average fitness
• Age group 4 years and above
• Difficulty level beginner/plus

❍ What to pack?

• Sports shoes or trainers
• Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses
• You can wear a t-shirt and swimshorts. For ladies, we recommend leggings as a good option to respect the local culture.
• Change of dry clothes for after activity (if you wish to swim in the wadi)
• NO JEANS & NO SANDALS ON HIKE

• No refund for cancellation within 2 days of excursion date.
