From the trailhead towards the bottom of Shah peak is approx. 650m elevation gain. From the first checkpoint, we will continue along UAE’s newly developed longest balcony trail. Continuing from an elevation of approximately 1,100m towards 1,650m over approx. 8km you will traverse along the Jebel Jais Rim trail with gradual to short but steep ascends till you reach the Observation Deck at the top of Jebel Jais. From the Observation Deck, we will continue one more kilometer towards Camp 1770, the highest camp in UAE located at 1,770m above sea level. Depending on the time of year, the temperature can vary from zero degrees during the winter season to 22 degrees during the summer season.
We will have a break along the tail to have our pre-packed lunch.
At Camp 1770, we will set up our tents and get ready for dinner, which is a local Emirati cuisine prepared by the local tribes of Jebel Jais part of our Adventure Tourism Sustainable Program. After dinner, it is time for relaxing and bonding around the bonfire connecting with one another.

❍ DAY 2

This will be the first ascent for the day we will take it nice and steady as we cross the ascend.
This part of the trail will take us through terrains navigating across the rocky ridges of the western side of Jebel Jais overlooking the coastal side of Rams popular for its mangroves, beach, and the old city. Views from an altitude of 1,400m that is sure to leave you in awe. Our hike along the ridge will come to an end at the shaded rest area approximately 11km away from Camp 1770. From the shaded rest area, we will start our descent toward the Farm, which is our location for the camp on Day 2. The distance from the rest area to the farm is approximately 3km.
