Shamal Village Hike and Picnic - Friday 22 Jan
This wadi is a hidden village situated between the mountain face of Al Rams coastal line and the inner mountain face of Jebel Jais. During cooler months this wadi blossoms with flowers and carpets of green grass due to the big amount of rainfall. The trail takes us through a dry canyon, leading to a hidden old settlement that is sure to leave you in awe. We will have a gentle hike in the wadi, exploring old settlements as we push inwards towards our picnic spot, surrounded by rocky mountains walls. From there we will head back to our cars through the wadi. Take a step back in time and experience how the older mountain tribes of Ras Al Khaimah used to live within these rocky mountain walls. • Difficulty level of these canyons is 3 out of 10. • Distance: Round trip hike approx. 4km • Endurance level: Beginner+ • No rope skills or technical gear is required. No water involved. • There is nothing technical about this hike. Camp 808 - Hike + Camp + Yoga (Fri/Sat 22-23 Jan)
DATE: Friday 22 - Saturday 23 January This weekend we are coming together for an exciting adventure to connect with nature and other like-minded souls once again. The plan is to escape the heat of the city to higher grounds up the mountain and enjoy winter cold nights under the stars, surrounded by like-minded souls and overwhelmed the breathtaking nature and views of the rocky mountains. The trip includes a little bit of everything offering a variety of experiences to feed our adventurous taste: • Drive up the mountain in SUVs/4x4s (self driving your own vehicle or jump in as passenger) • Sunset hike on a route that takes us through the higher plateau leading to an old settlement overlooking the seaside to watch the sunset in an awe-like moment. • Set camp, unwind, relax and enjoy good company under a starry night sky. • Enjoy a night of chilling to the bonfire and good fun. • Temperature at night is expected to be around 10C. Its will be COLD so bring out your winter jackets!! • Access to private toilets • Sunrise Yoga with a breathtaking view Stunning views of Ras Al Khaimah city at night • Difficulty level of the hike is 3 out of 10. It is a visible and fun route. • However, a good amount of fitness level is required. • Hike duration: around 2 hours depending on breaks and group pace. Hike + Abseiling at Wadi Wonderland (29 Jan)
This unique wadi offers us an exciting opportunity to enjoy natures wonderland. With its unique rock formations and elevation drop, it is the perfect playground for those who which to try abseiling for the first time. The route takes us on the newly established hiking trail through the lower part of Wadi Rams. The trail involves hiking on the trail followed towards an old settlement. From there we start our action game bouldering through the wadi. Along the wadi, we will abseil/ rappel of some drops suitable in hight for first-timers. It is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors in cooler temperatures. Unwind, relax and enjoy good company on a new and fun climbing route made for ease and a good warm-up for the season. • Difficulty level of these canyons is 6 out of 10. • Distance: Round trip hike approx. 5km • Endurance level: Moderate • Cardio: Low Intensity • Technicality: Medium • Hiking at Elevation of 250m • A good amount of fitness level is required. • Hike duration: 4 to 5 hours round trip depending on breaks and group pace. *Abseiling gear provided (helmet + harness) Strictly no smoking or alcohol on hikes. *The trip needs minimum 4 bookings to run if any less the booked guests will be fully refunded for the cancellation of the trip.
UAE Winter Summit Series, Jebel Jais (29/30 Jan)
We are excited to launch our latest experience: “UAE SUMMIT SERIES” What is UAESS? Have you always dreamt of what it feels like to experience summit night on a big mountain such as Kilimanjaro in Tanzania or Mount Elbrus in Russia? Well, now you can get a teaser! The aim of this series is to step outside our comfort zone and challenge ourselves physically and mentally as we push for the actual summit of Jebel Jais at 1,935m above sea level. The experience is designed to replicate the same feels of excitement and discomfort as you would on a summit night. During this time of the year, temperatures at the top of Jebel Jais can drop close to zero degrees Celsius. It will be very very COLD! So winter gear is a must. If you are planning to attempt big mountains this summer or simply feeling nostalgic and want to relive the experience then this is the right adventure for YOU! Trip Summary: Like any summit night, we will start our hike from the Viewing Deck Park and push towards our "basecamp" at Camp 1770. Here we will spend quality time together and share a good meal followed by an early call for sleep. Our action starts with an early wake-up call at 3 am to get ready and begin our summit push to catch the sunrise from the peak of Jebel Jais at 1,935m. From the peak, you will have a 360 view of Musandam in Oman as well s Ras Al Khaimah. Prior to the event, Adventurati team will be hosting a Zoom Meeting to go over details of the UAE Summit Series in-depth details and detailed itinerary with those who are confirmed. • Difficulty level overall is 6 out of 10. • Distance: approx 8km each way (Total 16km over two days) • Endurance level: Medium + • Hiking at an elevation of 1484m and up to 1770m then push for summit at 1,935m (next day) • No rope skills or technical gear is required • However, a good amount of fitness level is required.
