Swimming with Race Camels on the Beach

Did you know that camels are excellent swimmers? We take young race camels as well as our calm school camels to the beach for a few hours of aquatic training in the morning. The program is a unique experience, where you will have the chance to paddle along the camels as they swim ahead. It truly shows the ability of the large animals, which are real powerhouses in water as on land.

Apart from swimming, you’ll be able to ride along the beach and in shallow waters, on your own or with our guide, depending on your experience level. Either way, the scene also makes for some brilliant pictures.

 DURATION 
 7:30Am to 9:30am (2 hours)

 OVERALL DIFFICULTY 
This experience is suitable for all fitness levels and is family-friendly. Kids are allowed in the company of their parents or guardian. Confident swimmers can join the camels on the beach. Non-swimmers can ride the camels in shallow waters. Weight limit is restricted to max of 90kg.

 ITINERARY 
• Transfer guest from city to the beach. Approximate travel time is 10min to 30min depending on location.
• 7:30am Meet at the beach location
• Welcome and briefing on the day’s program, tips on how to approach camels
• Familiarization with the animals, take some selfies
• Get ready to swim or ride, 2 guests can ride at the same time
• Follow the camels into the water. Be sure to keep up with them as they swim surprisingly fast.

 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 
• Wear comfortable modest clothing suitable for riding and swimming. Quick dry sports clothes are ideal
• It is very important to respect local culture. Therefore, no bikini allowed.
• Sun protection: be sure to protect yourself as per your personal requirements
• Ability to swim
• Max weight for riders (90 kg), the organizer reserves the right to restrict riding based on rider's weight assessment for the sake of animal safety and welfare.
• Do not bring any unnecessary valuables. Organizer is not responsible for lost or damaged belongings.
• Bring a beach towel and extra change of clothes.
• There is a pop up tent to be used as changing room
• There is no washroom
• There is no life guard on duty.
